Yes, chiropractic care can be safe and beneficial for seniors when tailored to their specific needs. Many older adults seek chiropractic treatment for conditions like chronic back pain, joint stiffness, and mobility issues. Chiropractors often use low-force techniques instead of high-velocity adjustments to minimize risk. Studies suggest that chiropractic care can be an effective, non-invasive option for managing pain and improving mobility in older adults.
The frequency in which you will need to see a chiropractor is all dependent on your health concerns, specific needs and what your goals are. The frequency can range from daily for a period of time to once every other week. The best way to determine how often to see a chiropractor is to consult with us so we can best determine your health concerns, goals and specific needs to address your concerns.
Yes, chiropractic care can be beneficial for posture and alignment issues caused by prolonged sitting or excessive screen use. Poor posture—such as slouching or forward head positioning can lead to muscle imbalances, spinal misalignment, and chronic discomfort. Chiropractors use adjustments, posture assessments, and corrective exercises to help restore proper alignment and relieve tension. Some chiropractic practices even incorporate posture screening tools to visually assess alignment and track improvements over time. Additionally, chiropractors may recommend ergonomic adjustments, stretching routines, and strengthening exercises to support long-term posture correction.
Chiropractic adjustments are generally not painful, but some people may experience mild discomfort or soreness afterward, similar to what you might feel after a workout. During the adjustment, you may hear popping or cracking sounds, which are caused by gas being released from the joints, this is completely normal and not a sign of pain. Most patients report feeling relief and improved mobility after an adjustment.
